Jakarta - (20/1/ 2020) Bertempat di Gedung KONI Pusat lt. 12 Ruang Lounge PB PTMSI yang diwakili oleh Mansyur  Lakoro selaku Ketua  Bidang  Perwasitan dan Pertandingan, Dian E Meringgi  sebagai  Ketua  Bidang Pembinaan Prestasi dan Evi Sumendap selaku Komisi Pembinaan Prestasi  menghadiri  Pelantikan Pengurus Besar Persatuan Squash Indonesia (PB  PSI).  


Pelantikan  PB. PSI di lakukan langsung oleh  Ketua Umum KONI Pusat , Letjen TNI (Purn) Marciano Norman. Terpilih sebagai Ketua  Ketua Umum Pengurus  Besar Squash Indonesia (PB PSI)  Dr. Hj. Sylviana Murni,  SH. MH.SI.  Hadir pula dalam Pelantikan tersebut Mentri Pemuda dan Olahraga Zainudin Amali, La Nyalla Mattalitti Ketua DPD RI, serta Perwakilan Cabor-Cabor Olahraga yang ada di Indonesia. 


Dalam kesempatan tersebut Ketua Umum KONI Pusat Marciano Norman menyampaikan  “Olahraga Squash dianggap sebagai olahraga baru dan yang mahal oleh  masyarakat luas, sehingga menjadi tugas dari Kepenggurusan PB  PSI yang terpilih ini untuk mensosislisasikan sehingga masyarakat luas dapat mengetahui” .


Usai dilantik menjadi  Ketua Umum PB PSI  Sylviana menuturkan “ Agar Sosialisasi Olahraga Squash berhasil maka jauhkan pikiran bahwa Squash adalah Olahraga mahal. Oleh karena  itu dalam kepengurusannya maka akan memperbanyak lapangan Squash di tiap-tiap sekolah atau lingkungan. Pengadaan lapangan Squash tersebut akan disebar di berbagai daerag sehingga bibit-bibit dari pecinta Olahraga Squash bisa tumbuh di tiap sekolah atau lingkungan “

Dalam kesempatan tersebut di sela sela acara pelantikan, Menpora Zainudin Amali menyatakan bahwa Kepengurusan Tenis Meja sepenuhnya diserahkan kepada KONI Pusat. Disambut oleh Pernyataan ketua Umum KONI Pusat Letjen (Purn) Marciano Norman bahwa telah Melantik dan memberikan SK kepada Peter Layardi Lay selaku Ketua Umum PB PTMSI masa jabatan periode 2019-2023. Dan Ketum KONI berpesan agar melibatkan para atlit dalam setiap kegiatan.
